NFL Week 16: Star Picks

I found an interesting piece this morning by Dan The Man Leach, Inspin’s Collaborator and Betting Expert, and host of The Betting Edge segment on YouTube. First of all, I have to declare myself a faithful follower and fan of his articles and betting previews. I started following his video comments and reading his posts and NFL articles a few weeks ago, and so far, he seems like a highly capable betting expert and handicapper. No bullshit posts or phony picks. Another fact that I liked a lot about this guy is that he projects a sense of confidence to his followers; he takes his time to analyze vital info that most bettors would ignore or take for granted (previous games, injury reports and possible outcome for each individual game). I like the way he exposes this info to football and sports fans, and how he manages to make this accessible to even new or inexperienced betting fans.

But let’s move to the actual point I wanted to share with you.  There’s a new article on Inspin.com covering the coming NFL Week 16 and his three picks for the coming weekend. For many readers and NFL fans, week 16 won’t decide anything; however, after reading the article and the information provided by Dan the Man, I simply changed my mind. I see a great chance of increasing my monthly winnings by betting on a series of games that no one seems to care about.

Minnesota Vikings (2-12, 1-6 away) vs. Washington Redskins (5-9, 2-5 home)

NFL Monday Night: Steelers could recover Roethlisberger

The Pittsburg Steelers announced this weekend that Ben Roethlisberger's status continues to improve hours before the NFL Monday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Roethlisberger suffered a left ankle injury last week against the Cleveland Browns and was limited in practice for the second consecutive day last Saturday.

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin, says he is feeling confident about his quarterback's chances of playing through his ankle injury, and added that Roethlisberger, who traveled with the team to San Francisco, looked good in practice Saturday, saying that "His ankle was better than it was last Thursday (when he injured it)."

The Steelers had yet to make a decision on Roethlisberger but the outcome of the game between the Ravens and Chargers would also be a key factor for the Steeler’s future. The Ravens' loss means a win by the Steelers take the team to the first place in the AFC North, a scenario that would make Roethlisberger a more suitable player due his experience.

Oddsmakers still favoring the 49ers to win this game by a slight margin (-2.5,-115), however, Inspin's NFL Simulator has the Steelers as a 2 Star Pick, and possible winner for this game.

NFL week 15 Picks: An advice you can't ignore

NFL Week 15 Monday Night Football: Steelers vs. 49ers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will visit the San Francisco 49ers this Monday night, December 19th at 8:30PM to close week 15 of the NFL season.

After clinching the NFC West division two weeks ago, the 49ers suffered a loss vs. the Cardinals (21-19) last Sunday, in a game that has been dubbed as one of the worst performance of any team this season. In that game, the 49ers did not show their best defensive/offensive abilities or any of the qualities and skills that allow them to take the first spot in their division.

 In the other hand the Steelers will be looking to stay even with the Ravens by winning their fifth straight game during this NFL week 15 match-up.

Patriots vs. Broncos: Can New England Take Down Denver’s Tebow Attack?

The Game:

New England Patriots (10-3) vs. Denver Broncos (8-5), 2:15 p.m. MT
New England plays against Denver on Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High and everyone and his uncle are itching to find out if the Pats have got the stuff to make it to the playoffs and beyond, or if they'll be run over by the Tebow Express and the Broncos.

Denver currently has the league’s top-ranked rushing offense at 156.2 yards per game. They average 187.1 yards per game in their last nine games engineering a rushing game that connects Tim Tebow with Willis McGahee (tied for the NFL lead with six 100-yard rushing games.)
New England has lost their three last games at Denver and is 3-6 against them in the Bill Belichick era; it’s also clear that they're not getting sucked in to all the hype surrounding Tebow.
“Everybody tries to make it just ‘Tebow Time’ -- it’s their team,” linebacker Dane Fletcher said. “Just like (Sunday) was a good win for them. Their defense stepped up (and their) kicker had a couple of good kicks. I’m not blowing it out of perspective and saying it’s one guy, because it’s not. It’s the team.”
